Lake Sharpe
Lake Sharpe resembles more of a river than a typical lake. It's narrow channel stretches 80 miles from the Oahe Dam to the Big Bend Dam in Fort Thompson.

Lake Sharpe is a excellent walleye lake. In 1997, nearly 160,000 walleye were caught in the lake.

Boat ramps are plentiful on the lake. Fort Pierre has two of the most popular boat ramps due to location and fish cleaning facilities. Unfortunatley neither ramp is depicted on maps. One ramp is at the end of Sixth Street and the other is off of Deadwood on the Bad River. Ask any local and they'll be able to point you in the right direction.
