PARK MAINTENANCE FOREMAN

District 12 Park headquarters at Oahe Downstream RA located north of Pierre/Fort Pierre has a Park Maintenance Foreman position currently open for candidates. The Park Maintenance Foreman at the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area is the lead worker for maintenance activities in a large park district that consists of the main park at Oahe Downstream RA and 10 secondary park locations north on the Oahe Reservoir. The district possesses several facilities including 294 campsites, 20 modern cabins, 12 camping cabins, lodge, 10 comfort stations, 12 boat ramps, 4 fish cleaning stations, an Off-Highway Vehicle Area (OHV), an Archery range, Rifle range, and a marina complex at Spring Creek. This position organizes and schedules staff at Oahe DS to perform daily and weekly work at these areas and facilities. The Foreman will be part of a full-time district crew and supervised by the district supervisor. Foreman will be primarily responsible for daily work within the Oahe Downstream RA but also works within the district as work dictates.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Associate to join our team. You are expected to provide customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet their needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly manner; determine customer needs and how to exceed their expectations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through customer engagement and quality product delivery
  • Be knowledgeable of products and services offered and properly promote them to customers
  • Identify customer needs and offer additional services that could benefit them
  • Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point-of-Sale system
  • Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products
  • Receive and prepare documents for printing
  • Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages, accessing shipment manifesting software, and generating labels
  • Assist in merchandising store, including stocking shelves with products, ensuring clean and orderly appearance of product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for reordering supplies
  • Operate copier, fax machine, and other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner; help customers operate office machine in retail area
  • Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Proficient in typing
  • Experience with POS systems is preferred
  • Strong understanding of retail sales principles, including upselling techniques and customer engagement strategies
  • Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately Weekends Only. 12-15 hours per week.
