The City of Fort Pierre is lifting the current NO LAWN WATERING restriction as Mini Wiconi has repaired two of the three leaks. A reminder that the odd/even lawn watering restrictions are still in effect until September 30,2026.
The City of Fort Pierre will go back on a temporary NO LAWN WATERING restriction for all system users, effective Monday, August 17, 2026 at 5 pm until further notice. The Mni Wiconi will be repairing the third leak on their line that serves the City of Fort Pierre. The water will be shut off to the City and we will be using water from our storage water supply. This restriction is put in place to minimize issues with supply during this time, including fire protection.
We are asking our customers to limit all unnecessary water usage during this time and we will put out another notification when the restriction is lifted. If you have any questions, please call the City Office at 223-7690. We thank you for your cooperation in this effort
